|Young academes win reading and writing fest..
POWER OF THE PEN, ARTICULATION OF WORDS — TEN YOUNG
elementary pupils of Ligao grabbed awards in five events during the
recently held Regional Reading and Writing Festival in English at Albay
Central School, Legazpi City on November 6.
The contestants who emerged winners in Team Reading Comprehension were
Cristephanie Mae Siapno (Layon) , Noe Mae Marabella and Niňa Angela Alano,
2nd (Level 3); Denie Joyce Reberta, Kryss Dexter Mijares and Kimberly Quililan,
4th (Level 4); and John Philip Buena, John Jovicon Codia and Richard Manuel
de Castro, 5th (Level 5), all coming from Ligao West Central Elementary School
(Binatagan) and a lone representative of Layon Elementary School .
In Oral Interpretation, Noe Mae Marabella ranked 9th (Level 3), Denie Joyce
Rebeta, 3rd (Level 4), and John Philip Buena, 10th (Level 5) of LWCES (B).
Also, young Mr. Webster of Ligao Kryss Dexter Mijares of LWCES (B) bagged
the 1st place in Vocabulary Showcase Level 4. Adding up to the list of winners
were Cristephanie Mae Siapno of Layon , 9th (Level 3) and John Jovicon
Codia of LWCES (B), 3rd (Level 5).
Beginning a success stories for themselves, Niňa Angela Alano, Kimberly
Quililan Richard, and Manuel de Castro of LWCES (B) won as 9th, 3rd and 1st ,
respectively in Retelling a Story.
Antonio Angelo Rabe, a grade six student of LWCES (B) single-handedly beat
his opponents and surfaced as first in Essay Writing.
In the over-all points, the Ligao city division ranked 6th among twelve

among young aspirants and learners of Ligao is highly regarded and magnified
